About Us
The Seed of Light Unity Temple is a spiritual and wellness community-centered ministry devoted to healing, cultural reverence, education, and compassionate service. Rooted in ancestral wisdom and guided by a mission of care, we support local families, as well as our nationwide online community, through direct community outreach, advocacy, and art-based programs.Alongside our outreach, the Temple offers a growing education division, where we hold regular online learning circles and spiritual and wellness courses. Through guided teachings, meditation, sacred history, and community dialogue, we provide a space for individuals to deepen their spiritual practice, strengthen emotional wellness, and connect with others in a supportive learning environment.Together, our spiritual work and community programs reflect one truth: service is sacred, and when we care for those most in need, we honor the ancestors who walked before us and protect the generations yet to come.
Our Work and Outreach
At the Seed of Light Unity Temple, our ministry approaches service as a spiritual act — honoring the body, the spirit, the ancestors, and the natural world as one interconnected family. Alongside our community support programs, we host Spiritual Tea Ceremonies, where we gather to honor plant medicines, explore natural healing, and learn to live in harmony with Creation as the Most High intended.Through these gatherings, we study the spiritual science of nature, respect the wisdom of the earth, and uplift knowledge of self through Christ Consciousness — the inner awareness that every soul carries Divine light and sacred purpose, as well as Deep and Profound Ancestral Wisdom.Our outreach reflects this holistic belief. We provide End-of-Life Companion Care for elders and individuals nearing transition, walking with families through grief, memory, and spiritual comfort.Our Women’s Ministry supports healing, empowerment, and emotional balance through sisterhood and shared wisdom.We also facilitate Art Therapy and Creative Healing Sessions, offering painting, journaling, and expressive arts as tools for mental, emotional, and spiritual restoration.Through education, compassion, and cultural care, our ministry stands as a bridge — supporting the community in everyday needs while nurturing the spirit through teachings that honor nature, ancestry, Divine law, and sacred identity. In every service, we promote dignity, spiritual awareness, and love as the foundation of true wellness.The Outreach Department of Seed of Light Unity Temple exists to extend our ministry beyond the boundaries of study and into the everyday lives of families who need support, dignity, and a community that sees them.Rooted in our commitment to holistic, compassionate care, our outreach work is built around three interconnected areas of service: support for newborn infants and their families in the earliest, most vulnerable weeks of life; mentorship and material assistance for teen mothers navigating parenthood while still finding their own footing; and a food, clothing, and personal hygiene bank that meets basic human needs without judgment or barrier.Each of these programs reflects our belief that spiritual care and practical care are not separate callings but one and the same.When a mother leaves our doors with diapers, a warm meal, and the reassurance that she is not alone, that is ministry in its fullest form.Our approach is grounded in cultural humility, trauma-informed practice, and a deep respect for the individual paths each family walks.For newborns and their caregivers, this looks like layette provisions, postpartum check-ins, and connection to community resources during a season that is often isolating.For teen moms, it means consistent mentorship, parenting education, and a safe space free of shame, helping young mothers build stability for themselves and their children.Our food, clothing, and hygiene bank serves as the steady, tangible backbone of this work, ensuring that no family in our care goes without the basics that restore dignity and ease daily survival.As we grow this department, our aim is to build sustainable, replicable systems of care that can serve as a model for congregational outreach, and we are actively seeking funding partners who share our vision of ministry as both a spiritual anchor and practical lifeline for the families we serve.Feel free to donate to us one time or become a monthly seed sower by clicking the members button. Seed of Light Unity Temple affirms a unified spiritual foundation while honoring the individual spiritual expressions of its members. While personal beliefs may vary, all align harmoniously with the principles set forth by the Temple.The Divine Unity and the Living GodWe stand united in the knowing of one living, all-encompassing Universal God—the Eternal Source from which all creation emerges and through which all life is sustained. This Divine Presence is not distant, but active, conscious, and interwoven into every layer of existence. Our devotion is non-denominational and expansive, honoring the Sacred wherever it reveals itself, beyond doctrine, limitation, or separation.Natural and Holistic LivingIn reverence for the Divine intelligence expressed through creation, we commit ourselves to lives lived in harmony with nature. The body is recognized as a sacred vessel, deserving of care rooted in natural, holistic practices that support balance, vitality, and longevity. Synthetic substances are approached with discernment and restraint, reserved only for moments of true necessity, when life itself must be preserved.Plant Medicine and Sacred HealingThe earth offers living medicines endowed with ancestral wisdom and spiritual intelligence. We honor plant medicine as sacred—utilized with respect, intention, and spiritual responsibility. These natural allies serve not only the healing of the body, but the restoration of the mind, spirit, and soul, supporting deeper communion with the Divine.Christ Consciousness and Universal OnenessWe walk the path of Christ Consciousness—an awakened state of divine awareness rooted in unconditional love, truth, and unity. For women, this includes the covering of the head in public spaces as an act of spiritual protection, humility, and divine order. Livity is not a label, but a daily practice of alignment with God, nature, and ancestral wisdom.The Daughters of MelchizedekWithin the Temple exists a private and sacred priestess order known as The Daughters of Melchizedek. This order consists of women who have been spiritually ordained and initiated into a lineage of divine priesthood that predates modern religious institutions. These priestesses are consecrated to serve as spiritual anchors, wisdom keepers, and intercessors—walking in divine authority, balance, and service to God and humanity. Membership is by calling, preparation, and ordination, and is held with reverence, responsibility, and spiritual discipline.Ethiopia as a Holy LandWe honor Ethiopia as a sacred land and spiritual axis of the world, recognizing its ancient spiritual heritage and divine significance. We align ourselves with Ethiopian holy days and spiritual observances, acknowledging Ethiopia’s role as a cradle of sacred knowledge, priesthood, and uninterrupted spiritual lineage.Cosmic Ancestry and Divine OnenessWe affirm our identity as Cosmic Beings—spiritual entities having a human experience. We honor not only our earthly ancestors, but our cosmic ancestors, recognizing that our origins extend beyond time, space, and dimension. God dwells within us as Source Consciousness, and through this knowing, we walk in Oneness with all life, all worlds, and all expressions of the Divine.

When you or a loved one must navigate the healthcare system, having a compassionate advocate by your side can make all the difference. We offer support in facilitating communication between clients and healthcare providers, accompanying clients to medical appointments when appropriate, assisting in understanding treatment options and patients' rights, helping ensure that your voice and wishes are respected in care decisions, and offering spiritual care and prayerful support throughout health challenges.

Certain legal matters intersect deeply with matters of faith, personal rights, and human dignity.
